Can an ice maker in a refrigerator make enough crushed ice to create a snow day? Probably not, but its a science experiment in the making and Melanie is determined to get a wintery day off from school!
Text version of today's comic for screen readers
Panel 1: Andrea, Melanie, and Kay are in the kitchen gathered around the counter. Andrea is pouring a glass of orange juice, Kay is pretending to pour a glass of orange juice using a cookie decorated to look like a pitcher, and Melanie has a frustrated expression on her face as she's walking away while holding a cup. There's also a plate of cookies on the counter, some of which are decorated to look like orange slices.
Melanie: "Buying enough shaved iced makers to create a snow day would've been too expensive anyway."
Panel 2: Melanie is standing beside the fridge, with her head tilted downwards and eyes closed, a disappointed expression on her face. Melanie is pressing the ice button on the refrigerator, and on top of the fridge Mr. Sprinkle's legs can be seen.
Melanie, sighing: "If only there was another way...."
Panel 3: Melanie has an inqusitive expression on her face as she studies the crushed ice from the fridge falling into her cup. Mr. Sprinkles has a mischievious expression as he watches, his tail swishing back and forth. Andrea dashes in next to Melanie upon realizing what she's thinking.
Melanie: "Hmm...."
Andrea: "Melanie, no."
