Finally, the last strip for state testing month. Testing doesn't end when you graduate, it just gets less frequent.
This comic is also a reminder that Thursday, April 28 is "Take your child to work day" this year! I don't know how common this still is, but when I was in school it was a great opportunity!
Text version of today's comic for screen readers
Panel 1: Andrea and Melanie are sitting at computers, taking another state test. They both have uncomfortable expressions on their faces.
Both girls, thinking: "I can't believe we have to take another state test instead of spending a fun "Take Your Child to Work Day" with our moms. They're so lucky they don't have to take any tests!"
Panel 2 and 3: The panel is divided diagonally so the viewer can see what's going on in two locations. In the first half, Andrea's mom can be seen typing on a computer screen, while a woman holds a stack of papers at a desk in the background. There's a whiteboard that lists the date "Thurs April 28" and the words "Executive Leadership Training Seminar" and "Welcome Executives!" Mr. Sprinkles is also in the background, sliding a piece of paper off the desk. The other half shows Melanie's mother in a flight testing simulator, taking a recertification test. A flight instructor sits next to her, a clipboard in one hand and is tapping notes onto a tablet device with the other. Both moms look annoyed.
Both mothers, thinking: "I can't believe I have to take a test instead of spending a fun day with my daughter at work."
